Legal Industry Reviews – 10th edition of LIR Romania

The article examines (i) the new draft law transposing AIFMD II into national legislation, outlining key developments for AIFs and AIFMs — including the conditional ability for AIFs to grant loans, strengthened credit-risk governance obligations, and an explicit prohibition on lending to consumers and (ii) upcoming legislative developments to be triggered by the ”Ecosystem Project” – aimed to further improve the legislation governing collective investment undertakings in line with the Romanian Capital Markets Strategy.
